How HEARING Builds and Updates Information
HEARING.co.il is a knowledge base that explains hearing, hearing changes and hearing technology in plain language. Each page answers one real question, starts with a short answer, relies on named public sources, shows when it was updated, and is corrected when an error is reported.
What HEARING is
This site is operated by an organisation working in the hearing field.
A reference site about hearing, in Hebrew, English, French and Arabic. Each language is written for its readers rather than translated word for word.
It explains. It does not sell products through its pages, rank brands or give personal medical advice.
How a page is chosen and written
A page starts from a question people actually ask: about the ear, hearing tests, hearing changes, devices, accessibility tools or everyday listening.
Every page follows the same order: a short answer first, then the explanation under clear headings, then related questions, then sources. One topic per page, so each page can be read, linked and cited on its own.
Sources
Pages rely on public, checkable sources: public health bodies (for example the World Health Organization and the US National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders), professional and technical standards, and manufacturers' official pages for technical data.
Sources are listed at the end of each page. A medical or technical claim without an official source is not published.
Updates and corrections
Each content page shows the date it was last changed in substance. When a source changes, or an error is found, the page is updated and its date changes with it.
A line saying a page was professionally reviewed appears only after such a review has actually taken place and been recorded. A reviewer's name appears only on pages that person reviewed, and only after their professional details have been verified.
What the site does not do
It does not diagnose, treat or recommend a specific device. It does not replace a hearing test or a consultation with a qualified professional.
It does not publish repair guides, prices, deals or product rankings.
When to see a professional
See a doctor promptly for a sudden change in hearing, hearing loss in one ear, ear pain or discharge, dizziness, or tinnitus that is new, one-sided or pulsing. For gradual changes, a hearing test with a qualified professional is the right next step.
How questions are answered
When a question arrives, we try to understand the topic, the type of device and how it is used. Where more specific knowledge is needed, the question can be reviewed with someone who has relevant experience, for example in technology, fitting, maintenance, accessories or accessibility. The aim is to help you reach more accurate information and a suitable next step. We do not diagnose, treat or promise a solution.
Brands and how they are mentioned
Product and technology names are trademarks of their owners and are mentioned only to describe facts. Technical data about specific models comes from the manufacturers' own official pages, with a source and a date for each item. The site does not rank or recommend brands. There are no advertising or sponsored links on the site.
Reporting an error or asking for clarification
Reported errors are checked against the sources and corrected.
